    • My research lies at the intersection of behavioural and experimental economics and aims to improve economic modelling. I apply behavioural insights (loss aversion) to improve modelling of individual decisions in well-known auction settings, and evaluate the relative advantages of various competing models using experimental techniques. Some of my work has relied on simulated bidders to provide “cleaner” tests of alternative theoretical approaches. Another theme of my research is to explore the differences in lab and field to identify features of experimental design that may produce these differences.
